Yesterday and today, I grabbed a painter's brush and made some wide strokes of gesso over Masonite board. The board pieces were approximately 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 inch pieces that were left over from another project. I drew in some gestural magnolia blossoms and glazed them with acrylic mixed with medium. After a few light layers, I sanded the painting lightly to exaggerate the surface texture.
I fell asleep before posting this blossom yesterday. What an April Fool!
